Samsung Odyssey

Samsung Odyssey+ Windows Mixed Reality Headset

Something mind-blowing happens when you merge two 3.5" AMOLED screens with a 3K display: an unbelievably realistic all-around view. The 110° viewing angle delivers a more fluid and immersive user experience as you glimpse your surroundings. With a new anti-Screen Door Effect technology that effectively delivers over twice the pixel count of the display resolution, you can expect a higher level of clear, crisp and seamless VR adventures.

Samsung Anti-SDE AMOLED Display solves SDE by applying a grid that diffuses light coming from each pixel and replicating the picture to areas around each pixel. This makes the spaces between pixels near impossible to see. In result, your eyes perceive the diffused light as part of the visual content, with a perceived PPI of 1,233PPI, double that of the already high 616PPI of the previous generation Samsung HMD Odyssey.

Thanks to built-in headphones, tuned by AKG, you’ll experience rich and dynamic 360° spatial sound, delivering audio so natural it feels like real life sounds are coming at you from all directions. The built-in microphone array lets you chat with teammates and control your PC with Cortana.

VIRTUAL REALITY RESOURCES DATABASE

When I started this project a couple of years ago honestly I did it for personal purposes, since my work as a 3D Designer merited an easy way to access the increasing amount of resources that the Virtual Reality area currently has, and as a content developer it is important to be updated about the latest information.

This is how "VIRTUAL REALITY RESOURCES DATABASE" was born, which is a dynamic database of links as a collaborative open platform, in which anyone can add more information to complement it and help make it grow collectively, in this way we can have access to valuable data from easy way as well as receive the latest updates of the area subscribing for free.

VIRTUAL REALITY RESOURCES DATABASE:

According to the page statistics, for most visitors has found an ideal way to stay updated; some contribute with links hard to find, and others simply have the free information available to consult it and take advantage of it commercially. The result has been a success, and I am really pleased with the positive comments in support of this initiative, as I am proud to have been reviewed in different media as an ideal option for access and research information on the subject without commercial bias.

Not having any kind of sponsors, since I don't have any direct affiliation to the products and services that the database directly promotes, I found "Ko-fi.com" which is a website where you can buy a "cup of coffee" "to invite your favorite content creators and thus show your support being a nice way to raise funds to make it sustainable, and allow me to compensate the time invested that it requires and thus continue with its development and expansion.

Ko-fi page:

I really hope that this website is as useful to you as it has been to me, and you can join us to help develop this important collective information project.

Thank you very much for your support!

Best regards,

Marco Romero

Mars Home Planet Rendering Challenge

At ACM SIGGRAPH 2018 expo opening held on Tuesday 14 was announced the winners of "Mars Home Planet Rendering Challenge" which we have participated with "LIFE TOWER 1" project; despite not having been selected as a winner, It has been a pride to be qualified as a finalist in all 6 categories of Real-time Visualization, as well as an important recognition of our work.
The exhibition is open to the public attending the event at the "StudioXperience", Exhibit Hall ABC (West), and all the projects are online at the following link:

Autodesk EAGLE Certificate

Very excited to be part of the Autodesk EAGLE Introduction Workshop for ATC Instructors ETCiberoamérica, obtaining my respective Autodesk Certificate N# 1XRZFPP737
This instruction qualifies me for the design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), commonly used in the area of Electronic Engineering in general, as well as its use for specialized areas such as Computing, Telecommunication, Aerospace, as well as Robotics.

I must highlight the deeply impressed potential of the Autodesk EAGLE (Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor) for the CAD design of circuits and boards, its powerful gallery of electronic components, as well as the amazing ability to develop 3d designs with Autodesk Fusion 360 software.

I would like to extend my thanks to Mr. Victor M. Leija for an excellent level of instruction, to thank the friends of ETC Iberoamerica for allowing high-level remote education, and very pleased to belong to the great Autodesk family.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Last Thursday, June 14 of the current year 2018, the security of my LinkedIn account on this social network was broken, allowing the usurpers of my identity to access all my data and delete my Personal Profile as well as my Company Profile.

LinkedIn Personal profile:

LinkedIn Company profile:

Currently, the link that corresponds to my supposed "LinkedIn Personal profile" is in a period of exhaustive Cybersecurity research, so I must clarify that the information that shows in my profile does not correspond to me.

Additionally, the link that corresponded to the account of my Company Profile "3D Design Studio" was also was deleted from the LinkedIn platform, and currently, it is not available through its official link.

I want to thank each and every one of those who have expressed their concern, surprise, and solidarity for this fact, and appreciates your understanding since it was not convenient to make the public announcement before so as not to intervene in the respective investigation.

Additionally, I would like to thank LinkedIn, to which I have entrusted my personal information, for the effort they are making in the restitution of my personal information, contacts, recommendations, follow-up to companies, user groups, and other data that I have compiled since the date of this social network launch in 2003, and to which I have entrusted my public image for all these years.

Given the aforementioned, I need to reiterate that my Personal profile, as well as my Company profile, are not available on the LinkedIn platform until further notice, and I hold the company LinkedIn responsible for the prompt solution that the case deserves.

Forge AR|VR Toolkit beta program

It's a real pleasure to announce the registration and approval for the
"Forge AR | VR Toolkit" beta developer program.

Forge is a set of Autodesk APIs and services for software developers to build innovative cloud-powered apps.

Augmented reality
(AR) is an enhanced version of reality created by the use of technology to overlay digital information on an image of something being viewed through a device such as a camera on a smartphone. On the other hand, Virtual Reality (VR) is an artificial world consisting of images and sounds created by a computer that is affected by the actions of a person experiencing it. Most first-person video games are examples of virtual reality and typically require special hardware like a headset or holder for a smartphone. So unlike augmented reality, in virtual reality, everything is virtual instead of real.

Autodesk Forge is a collection of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) that we use to develop our own web services. As part of our Forge efforts, we share those APIs (including documentation and code samples) with customers and 3rd-party developers (the Forge community) that want to leverage years' worth of legacy and current data associated with projects.

Autodesk Forge connects development, design and engineering through cloud-powered services that enable collaboration, visualization and workflows. These services are then made accessible through application programming interfaces (APIs), where they can be provisioned and taken advantage of directly from a developed cloud application.

The latest enhancements to the Forge platform include a viewer, authentication tools and a host of new APIs, including data management, reality capture and 3D Print.
The new viewer is capable of displaying 2D and 3D models from over 50 different file formats, and the updates to the authentication in Forge bring a consistent authentication and authorization functionality across the environment.
